Dear Ten Miler runners and volunteers,
As of Wednesday evening, we fully expect the Ten Miler to go forward as planned on Saturday morning despite our recent snowfall.
Over the next couple of days the weather will be well above freezing, and we anticipate the roads to be fully clear by race morning. The safety of our runners and volunteers is our first priority, however, so we will evaluate the course for any re-freezing early Saturday morning.
Because of the size of the race and the logistics involved, if conditions are unsafe we will have to cancel rather than postpone the race. If this were to happen, notification would occur via email on Saturday before the planned race start time of 7:15. Given the current forecast we view this as an EXTREMELY unlikely possibility and we are moving forward as planned, and look forward to seeing you all at packet pickup on Friday and on race morning.
Congratulations on all you have accomplished in training and have a great race!
