Thanks for you kind comments regarding this year's race!

I just wanted to thank you for an outstanding race event this past weekend!  This was my first time not only running the Charlottesville 10 Miler, but visiting the town itself.  I was thoroughly impressed with the organization of the race.  This was my boyfriend's first race and farthest distance he's run to date, and he couldn't have been happier.  The race provided me with a chance to visit the UVA campus and surrounding areas of Charlottesville.  I especially enjoyed running through the beautiful neighborhoods with the old brick and stone houses.  I was impressed with the amount of community support the people of Charlottesville provided.  Neighbors came out and provided donuts, cookies, drinks, and banners for a sea of random strangers running down their streets.  Others put huge speakers on their front porches and blared music from classical to rap.  One man played the bagpipes in the middle of a cemetery, dressed in kilt and all!  Another woman played her violin on the corner of a residential street.  I also loved the various bands that played throughout the course.

I have never run a race where individuals applauded me from mile one to the finish line.  It made me realize how much the support and positivity of the community affects the race itself.  Thanks for providing an incredible experience and exciting weekend for my boyfriend and me.  We can't wait to sign up for next year's race.

Sincerely,
BG & KD

Thanks so much for an outstanding event. I have been running in many events for about 40 years and I can say that this was the most fun and well organized race that I have ever participated in. What made it even more special was that for the first time I raced with my son and daughter. I think I was smiling the entire distance. The spectator support was great also. Thank you again,

Paul

I ran the race on Saturday and I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for making it possible. This was my first race of any kind, ever.  Prior to six months ago, I had never jogged more than 3 miles.  Training for this experience was tremendously rewarding, and the race itself could not have been more wonderful.

From packet pick-up to the finish line and post-race festivities, the experience was absolutely delightful and came off without a hitch.  I will never forget the energy and logistical grace of the volunteers, musicians, police officers, and well-wishers along the
way.

Please don't change a thing!  I'm already working on
plans to beat my time next year.

Many thanks,
Doron S-S

FYI, a great race, well organized, well managed, and with a fun friendly
atmosphere (at least among the 9minute/milers).  Thanks, mtl

Thanks for the best race and one of the "snapshots" I'll keep in my mind the rest of my life...it was fantastic!  CD

Just outstanding as always - loved the singing of the National Anthem and the music at the beginning.  It is the best conducted and organized race anywhere.  Much appreciation for all your hard work.  PDM-Staunton, VA

Just a quick word of thanks to the organizers/volunteers/supporters of the Charlottesville 10 Miler. This was my first time running the race, but it will not be the last. Everything was extremely well executed, from registration through Awards. It was great to have the town take an active part in supporting the race; water volunteers, bands, and general supporters.

I look forward to many more C-ville 10 Milers in my future.  -PM
